"Boil Water" Advisory Lifted

The "Boil Water" advisory for the Hawthorne Water Utility, in place since Saturday evening, has been lifted as of 6:04 pm on Tuesday, 9/14/2021, with the approval of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Customers of the Utility may resume normal water use.  It is no longer necessary to boil water before drinking.

Five wells will remain offline pending further investigation and approval of a corrective action plan by the DEP.
