Proposed Bandshell Project 
A bandshell and restrooms is under construction for the west end of Little Franklin Field. It is envisioned that the bandshell will be completed in the spring of 2015 and will be used for Hawthorne Day, summer outdoor concerts and community movie nights.  Click here for the proposed site plan.

The Borough of Hawthorne has received a grant of federal Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery funds (CDBG-DR) through the State of New Jersey and the County of Passaic for the buyout of certain flood-prone residential property near the Passaic River. For a copy of the full Passaic County Plan for the use of CDBG-DR monies and Passaic County's commitment to Fair Housing in conjunction with this grant, click here.
