Proposed Bandshell Project 
A bandshell and restrooms is proposed for the west end of Little Franklin Field. It is envisioned that the bandshell would be used for Hawthorne Day, summer outdoor concerts and community movie nights.

The Borough of Hawthorne has received a grant ofi federal Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery funds (CDBG-DR) through the State of New Jersey and the County of Passaic for the buyout of certain flood-prone residential property near the Passaic River.
